This was our churches Fall Festival. It rained in the evening so we moved everything to the barn and it worked out ok. Everyone seemed to have fun.

This was a rough weekend. Kaylee got 9 stitches on her arm and brent and garrett both fell off scooters while we were at the hospital. Then garrett got hit in the eye. With anna's helmet, my kids look like wrecks.

Kaylee age 5. She loves school and has a blast there. She has some little friends that she enjoys playing with a her teacher is perfect for her. They said she is excellent at school and a great helper. I was a bit shocked, but so grateful she is good at school. She loves to clean and help which is great for me.

Garrett age 3. Garrett loves to play with cars and blocks and watch Mickey Mouse. He is still pretty easy going and a good little kid.

This was Brents first time to swim in the lake. It was a fun experience for him. He was tired but had a great time.

The little kids were very patient. We had to wait 3 hours for his heat. This is alot longer than usual. I lost Anna's bottle and messed up my back a little while trying to hold Anna ( I forgot a chair), and got lost, but other than that, it really was a fun day being outside in nice weather.

I think he might have one more before the season is over, but he has sure enjoyed participating in them. His favorite part is the bike so he hopes to ride with his Dad someday in one of the Tulsa rides.

This is Garrett on the first day of school. I finally got him to take a nap on his floor and he insisted he needed golf clubs just in case. He likes to play a different sport everyday. Today we worked on baseball. Yesterday it was basketball. Mom is having fun also.

Brent was also excited for school. His teacher is wonderful and most kids wanted in her class. We felt very blessed. He continues to be one of the tallest in his grade which is fun for him. Garrett and Anna do not seem to miss the kids. I think they love the attention from me.

They are becoming better friends.

Kaylee was so excited about her first day of kindergarten. She has planned and thought about it for weeks. She loves her teacher and the kids in her class.

Kaylee learned how to ride her bike. I am thrilled to be done with days of frustration from her because of her bike. She was so sad that she did not know how.

Anna is a great baby with lots of patience. She loves her older siblings and enjoys being held by them. She likes sleeping and sucking her fingers. I keep trying the pacifer but I am not sure it is going to work.

Kaylee loves to hold Anna and surprisingly Anna is very calm around her. Kaylee is very gentle and talks very sweet to her. Anna starts blinking and crying when Garrett shows up. He has not found that gentle touch, but he is trying. He says alot of the times, I don't like her, but I do. He is not sure what to think.

Anna sleeps through most of it so she is happy in the air conditioned house. We are loving the Oklahoma summer. It is hot and sunny. My kids are living in swim suits and playing outside most of the day. It has been great so far. They are all entertained which is wonderful.

Brent had a birthday party with his friends. We just invited boys this year. It was a beautiful day and he was so sweet to everyone

For those moments that Kaylee makes me a bit stressed, it is worth it when she does things like this. I really laughed out loud when I turned around and saw this. It really tickled me. She is so random. It was about 60 something degrees and she was loving being in the pool. It was so cold. .

Brent is excited for his birthday on Wed, but was thrilled to get a fresh water fish tank for his birthday. He and Ben talk fish every night. It is fun for them to have a fun thing to do together.

We went to the Kauffman's house last weekend for a visit. It was so much fun. The kids had a blast. We also stayed with Jenny and Brian and also loved it, but we were enjoying it so much I forgot to take any pictures. We always love visiting.

Kaylee turned 5 today

She is such a funny little girl. She told me she wanted a calendar and a phone in her room for her birthday. She loves to talk on the phone to her cousins and family. She did not want any toys so I didn't even bother. I took her to a favorite little girl store and she picked out several accessories that she wanted like socks, head bands, flip flops and finger nail polish. She loved the day and so did I. I just didn't realize we would be doing our mommy/daughter shopping at age 5. She loved the day being all about her, but I have to say it was her best behaved day yet. She just wants to be alot older than she really is. I feel like she turned 15 today instead of 5. Oh well. We love our Kaylee

Anna and I had some time today so we took some pictures. Kaylee wanted to see her in a bow.

She has slept most of the day today so I expect tonight to be exciting, but she is really cute when she is awake.

Anna Made it home. She was 5 pounds 14 ounces when we left the hospital. She was alot more alert and awake today. She ate very often and is not a fan of being put down. The nurses said she was great for them in the nursery because they all took turns holding her all night. I guess we will see how tonight goes. I tried to take lots of pictures and post them because most of my family still has not seen or held her. My sisters children both have the flu we are guessing.

It was really hard to come home to a quiet house. I had to hold back the tears. Ben dropped me off and I sent him to Cleveland to help my mom. Anna and I stayed plenty busy, but we will be so happy when everyone can come home.

She hates baths and getting dressed. She is going to have to get use to getting dressed alot because I know once her big sister gets a hold of her they will be changing clothes all day.

Anna's had a great day. She is eating very well and is so pleasant. She doesn't mind being put down and is happy being held. She is so tiny and has such a small little cry.

My kids finally got to come and visit today. We were so thrilled they were feeling better. They have been off and on all week but were doing better so they came and put Anna in the nursery when they got here. Garrett was disappointed that Anna didn't have toys to play with. He was very disappointed with the nursery here at the hospital.

Garrett was so happy to see me. He just kept hugging me and kissing me.

Brent was fascinated with the TV and remote. I know it is shocking....

During the visit, Kaylee started a fever and then so did Garrett. Mom and Ben took them to after care and they all have the flu. We are so sad. My mom is overloaded with sick kids and they feel terrible. The doctor said they have to leave until the fevers are gone. So we go home tomorrow to an empty house, Ben will drop me off and head to my moms. He will go back and forth to help with meds, dinner and bed time until their fevers are gone. My dad is still in OKC until Sunday so that will help when he comes home, but it has been such a crazy unpredictable week. Leave it to the Johansens to get sick at such a perfect time........ I know this will only last a short time and we will all be together soon. We just pray our little Anna doesn't get sick.

She is a little jaundice so they will continue to check for that before we leave.

Anna Beth was born today at 6 pounds 3 ounces and 19 inches long. She is doing well and so is Alicia.

We were so happy to see the Southwards today.

Our poor family that was too sick to stay and hold the baby. They took a quick picture and then had to leave. We hope everyone is feeling better tomorrow.

We have started spring soccer. The kids both have the same coach just different teams.

Kaylee and her great friend Presley. They are the only girls on their soccer team.

Garrett is convinced he is on a team and was devastated when he did not receive a jersey with a number and his name on it. He is always worried about wearing jerseys and sports clothes and is very sad when they are dirty and can't be worn. Sometimes he will just carry around a pair of sporting clothes and talk about his game. He tells us each day which game he is playing. We never know which sport it will be. He is funny.

When we left the soccer game it was freezing and by the time it started it was warm. The kids were sad that I dressed them for freezing weather. Oh well.

We went to Texas to watch BYU play last weekend. We stayed with great friends and had a great time. The kids loved watching Jimmer.

The kids were so excited that it had snowed Monday morning. They were ready to go and play in it. Kaylee loved throwing snowballs at everyone.

Garrett stayed outside for about 2 hours. He loved the snow and this is our attempt at a snowman. He thought it was great.

Garrett received a bike for his birthday and it has been a frustrating present. The chain falls off every time he rides, but he loves riding and insists that I fix it. Finally it has jammed and I have a vey sad little boy.

We rearranged Kaylee's room and she feels so big.

Garrett obsessively loved the fishing games this year for Halloween. He would just cry and cry when it was over. He has a love for fishing which is fun.

We love living near our family and allowing the cousins to play often. We snapped a couple of pictures of my brothers family one afternoon. I can't believe how fast they are growing.

Brent preformed in his first triathalon today. He had the stomach virus this week, but he was sure happy that he felt well enough to participate.

I didn't buy school pictures this year because I think they are expensive, so I just took a few snaps of the kids myself. Brent was disappointed, he thinks I need to buy everything that the school sends home and promises me he will be the only kid that doesn't receive the T-Shirt or prize for selling 100 million things that the school wants him to sell. We working on a compromise.

Aunt Suzie saved us this week by giving the kids some birthday presents. They spent hours playing with each thing.

This is me after 5 days with all three kids having the stomach virus and to add to the fun, also a run of head lice with Kaylee and myself. At one point as I was getting children in the bathtub Kaylee starts throwing up so as I am taking care of her I look down and Garrett is using the restroom on my leg saying " Sorry Mommy, I sorry mommy." This was about day 3 of the week so by this point nothing was surprising to me. I said "Its ok Garrett there have been worse things this week." Then they proceeded to take a very long bath with the bath toys that Suzie gave them. Thank you Suzie. I just have to laugh in those situations.

This picture is taken after one of my daily treatments for the head lice. I can't use my normal products on my hair so it is suffering. Ben and I couldn't stop laughing. It has been a crazy week and hopefully not as eventful next week.

We had such a fun summer this year. It was very hot and great for us who love the pool. The kids were very excited for school to start so I felt like we were able make the best of the summer. Garrett has been begging me to not wear floaties or a life jacket in our pool. He kept saying "I can swim I can swim." One day just to humor him, I took them off and low and behold he was right. He can swim about half way across our circle pool until he needs a breath which is what is is doing in the picture, but he's pretty much got the hang of it. I say to him, "lets rest", he will come up for a breath and then say "No Again". He sleeps really good at nap time....

Brent loves the pool, but not the heat as much as we do.

1st Grade

Brent was nervous but very excited about going to school. His little friend Cole is in his class so he is excited. Kaylee was so ready to go to school and in fact didn't even want me to walk her down the hall way. I did anyways and she fell apart once I tried to leave. I left her in the arms of her nice teacher with tears running down her face. Our little princess was sad, but she will enjoy it over time. Garrett on the other hand, jumped right in and started playing with the kids and was not ready to leave. He wore his back pack to school both times. He is so funny.

Garrett got a bike for his birthday. We picked up the wrong bike so it was too big for him. He still tried all afternoon to ride it.

Kaylee got stamps for her birthday. She loved them as you can tell by her face.

When we started singing to Garrett, He already had his hand eating the cake. It was everywhere, but so cute.

May is always a busy month for us with the kids' birthdays. This year, Brent graduated from kindergarten. He had a great year with a great teacher. We will miss her.

We were able to visit some friends in Texas for a vacation this month. It was alot of fun.

Kaylee had a birthday and loves being 4. She feels very old. She was a bit disapointed when I told her that her pink hot pads would not really work in a real oven. She insisted on trying anyways. Why would mom know what she is talking about? Her specialtiy is cracking eggs. She is quite good at it.

For Easter this Sunday we are going to be with my family at my Sister's house. This picture below captures my kids personalities. Garrett doesn't really care, not much bothers him, Kaylee is usually frazzled by the end of the day and Brent is calm and likes things in place.

It is 3;30 in the morning. For some weird reason the youngest 2 have been up and down for the last two hours, instead of feeling frustrated that I wasn't sleeping I decided to catch up on posting some pictures. Brent loves to build with Lincoln Logs. Most of the time a sibling knocks it down, but he is very patient.

Kaylee loves to be helpful. She loves to pour milk for Garrett, wash the dishes, help me cook and wipes off the table and counters for me. She is on her best behavior when she is busy.

I started thinking that I should document some of the things that my kids are doing right now so that Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles could get to know them better.
Kaylee and I are excited for Spring. She likes to help me water our plants. We hope they survive Garrett so we can transplant them outside.

Brent is really into OSU. One of his friends at school is really into it so he likes it as well. He loves wearing the colors and the shirts that support OSU

Garrett loves to have Chocolate Milk in the Morning. He doesn't love regular milk so chocolate works fine. Who wouldn't love that in the morning.

Kaylee loves to play with her dolls. She has two friends Merra and Kerra. They come to dinner with us, they play with her, they wake her up at night, sometimes they are 4 years old and sometimes they are her babies. It is very cute.

Garrett feels very big when I let him play on the IPOD. He loves pressing the buttons.

Garrett is our Ball kid. He loves balls and loves Jerseys. He would wear one everyday if he could. I told him to hold the ball so I could take his picture and he knelt down like Brent's soccer picture. He is a funny kid.

For Valentines Day we had a party for the little girls at my Mom's home. Kaylee felt left out with Brent having a party at school, so she was very excited when we she was able to attend one.

We played games and had fun treats.

I am always the one taking the pictures, so I finally had Ben take one of the kids and I so they would remember their Mom was around when they were little.

This Christmas brought some changes, great weather for us and fun times with family. We had to changed some traditions because my grandmother has to now live in an assisted living home. We usually have had Christmas at her house and everyone stayed the night. Last year Ben and I slept under her small kitchen table on a blow up bed that deflated in the middle of the night. The kids all had trouble sleeping and then to top it off, Brent came and threw up all over me about 4 in the morning. Honestly, I have great memories there and it is always different to change, but it worked out to be a great Christmas and we still got to spend time with our family. The kids loved the snow and we were able to play in it for several weeks.

This picture is before we went to a basketball game here in town. The kids had a really good time. Brent loved the nachos and concession stand, Kaylee loved the cheerleaders and Garrett, Ben and I loved the game itself. It was alot of fun.

Our kids were in a Christmas Parade. Kaylee was an angel and Brent was a Wiseman. They loved it.

All the kids came over after church on Sunday and Grammie wanted a picture of the grandkids. We told the kids that all she wanted for Christmas was a picture, so they sat for her.

We are blessed this Christmas with great family and friends. My grandmother fell this last week and broke her hip. She will need some extra care now by living in an assisted living home. She has been a great grandmother to us and has a great sense of humor.

We celebrated my Grandmother's 92 birthday. She just had knee replacement surgery and is doing well.

We had a fish fry to celebrate. This is something we always did as children.

Kaylee wanted to be "Stinker Bell" for Halloween. We found the costume which she was so thrilled, and Brent keeps trying to convince her that she is Tinker Bell not Stinker Bell. The princess must be right, so this year she is our little "Stinker Bell" It makes us smile every time she says it. I am glad it is only Sept. We have several more weeks to enjoy her costume.

We went to a family reunion this last week with Ben's side of the family. We had a great time and loved the experience. The mountains were very pretty and the weather ended up being great. The kids loved seeing their cousins and grandparents.

Garrett is crawling everwhere and trying to pull up on everything. He loves to sneak around and eat all the small things he can find. I am always pulling things out of his mouth. He loves it when Ben gets home and crawls as fast as he can to get to him. He shakes his arms with joy when he gets picked up. He is content to roam around the house and find things to play with. He loves Brent because he is usually calm and sweet to him, he is not sure what to think of sister, she is most of the time the opposite of Brent.

Brent is learning to do jobs around the house and this was his proud bed making.

The kids lasted about 30 min outside today. We had a little snow, but mostly ice. It was a good excuse to put on their snow gear. Brent was pretty cold, but Kaylee loved it. We enjoyed getting outside.

Brent loves to wear short sleeves. Long sleeve shirts really bother him. This is one of his favorite shirts to wear.
It is hard to tell, but Kaylee's hair is very curly in this picture. She asked Ben to put moose in her hair just like mommy. We didn't realize that her hair had so much curl to it. She will dislike it on somedays throughout her life and she will also love the convience of the curls.

Kaylee is so helpful to Garrett now that he is crawling. I will see her walking backwards and dragging him away from her toys, the kitchen or other areas that she feels is harmful. She is learning that Garrett can do it by himself now. She makes us laugh.
Kaylee once again has decided that she is going to us the potty. This is attempt number 10 or so on her part. We just have to let her do her thing. Anyways, I told her I was taking a picture so Grandma and Grandpa in Utah could see how big she is. I actually wanted to show why I am not ready for her to be doing this on her own. You never know what you are going to find.

My Grandpa passed away last week. This picture was taken at the nursing home where he lived. He was a great grandfather and person. He will surely be missed.

Pumpkin PatchBrent went to the pumpkin patch with his preschool class. He loved riding the bus and was amazed that he didn't have to wear a seatbelt. They enjoyed a hayride and picked out their own pumpkins.

We went to the Tall Cheif Cove on Saturday to play in the sand and water. It is such a fun swim area. There were very few people there. It was fun to be in the Lake when it is almost Oct. We hope to visit this place often when we move there.

It actually started to get cold in Oklahoma. Kaylee wanted to wear her winter clothes even though it is not quite winter. She changes clothes at least 3 times a day and it doesnt' matter which season is in.

This was our first Sunday to go to Skiatook Branch for church since we will be moving there in a few weeks. Brent really wanted a coat to look like his daddy.

My nephews were in a kid triathalon this Saturday. They did a great job and it was really fun to watch.
